A classic desert cactus, there are multiple varieties which produce beautiful blooms in the spring. The flowers come in many colors, including yellow, orange, pink, and magenta. After they have bloomed bright pink-red fruit will develop. They have impressive spines and should be planted away from walkways or where children or pets might go.
